New SATERN Course: Overview of the NASA Alert System
May 28, 2014
By exchanging information about nonconforming parts with industry, NASA and other government agencies can enhance safety and reliability while reducing costs.
Learn about the Government-Industry Data Exchange Program (GIDEP) and NASA Advisories in “Overview of the NASA Alert System — GIDEP and NASA Advisories Course,” which is now available in SATERN. This 1-hour course provides an introduction to GIDEP, the system that facilitates the exchange of information between industry and government. The course covers GIDEP’s databases, products and services. It also discusses NASA Advisories, which are used to document and exchange information within NASA. You’ll find out what they are, how they’re used and the information they contain.
The “Overview of the NASA Alert System” course is for all Safety and Mission Assurance civil servants and contractors.
The course can be found in SATERN under “Overview of the NASA Alert System — GIDEP and NASA Advisories Course” or SMA-HQ-WBT-101 (NASA only).
