Construction Safety Working Group

NASA's Construction Safety Working group began meeting in early 2013 and officially was chartered by October of that year. During the 2014 meeting, the Fall Prevention administrators from each center joined the group to help ensure requirements are met and work is completed safely.

The working group discusses and shares ideas on preventing falls, including staging the work so it can be done on the ground or providing guardrails whenever possible so that there is no opportunity for a fall to occur. In addition, members evaluate Construction Safety and fall concerns, issues and audit findings; share best practices that can assist centers in addressing noncompliances in Construction Safety; provide advice on potential policy updates; and promote Construction Safety and Fall Prevention throughout the agency.
